Meeting the challenge!

This summer's wet weather presented a challenge to even the best parks and the most dedicated campers, and whilst the freak weather was out of our control we took careful note of how we might invest  further to minimise the effect of the great British downpour....and more!.........for our guests.   As a result a huge programme of work has already swung into action which will continue throughout the winter months so we can welcome guests to hugely improved 'wet weather tolerant' facilities and services in 2009.  

Major improvements to touring and camping include extensive new and improved drainage, terracing, new roads, and new field layouts to provide extra bigger pitches. There will be more electric pitches and NEW family friendly car free fields!

Hendra have been voted overall park winner in the Out & About Magazine 'Celebrating Excellence' Awards in association with the Caravan Club, and winner of the Family Entertainment category! 

These Awards 'reward excellence in facilities, consistant hard work that ensures first-rate standards and all-round campsite superiority.'    The judges said.....'Hendra, close to Newquay, is a holiday resort in itself, with the emphasis on catering for families. Entertainment from swimming pool complexes to several restaurants is at Hendra.  And because the park is in such a huge setting, surrounded by gorgeous countryside, its appeal is also one of calm and tranquility'
